RICK SANTORUM WILL TEAM UP WITH POVERTYNECK HILLBILLIES FOR MUSIC VIDEO IN ATTEMPT TO SECURE "REDNECK VOTE"

The office of U.S. Senator Rick Santorum (R-PA) announced today that he will partner with music sensation The PovertyNeck Hillbillies, a band gaining in national popularity with roots in Fayette County*, to make a video that will showcase Santorum's sense of humor and, unlike his latest fodder, the now infamous "polka ad," it will not be shot using a "green screen."

"Rick wants to make it clear that he's 100 percent behind the rednecks that populate southwestern Pennsylvania, as well as many northern counties where hunting, Skoal and marrying your first cousin are big," said a Santorum aide. "The concept behind the video is that a slutty, Daisy Duke-meets-Dunbar-type woman is trying to seduce both PNH lead singer Chris Abbondanza and Santorum. The woman does her best to lure Santorum into her den of iniquity, but he rebuffs her advances, proving his staunch commitment to his wife and family. And damn, this chick is one hot bitch," he added. "In the end, the girl settles for Abbondanza, but it's clear she'll always have a special place in her heart for Rick."

The music video/campaign ad will be called, "Mister Right Wingnut."

*Fayette County has the second-highest unemployment rate of the 67 counties that comprise Pennsylvania.
